Carl Jackson Motion Pictures Studios

Carl Jackson Entertainment LLC also is known as Carl Jackson Motion Pictures Studios was founded in 2002 and is owned by American filmmaker Carl Elijah Jackson. Carl Jackson has executive produced, produced, and directed several films including, "Inhumanity", "Church" starring Irma P. Hall, the DOVE Foundation approved film "Southern Girls" with original music produced by Phil Keaggy, "Blissful Lies" starring Emmy Award-winning Leann Hunley, and "Carl Jackson's The Jesus Freak".

Family-friendly entertainment distributor Bridgestone Multimedia Group signed a multi-year production and distribution deal with producer/director Carl Jackson in 2009, to produce motion pictures and TV programming. No film or TV programming ever got made because of creative differences between Carl Jackson and the executives. After things didn't go well with the partnership, Carl decided to start a distribution and marketing arm for his entertainment company. The first film released under the banner Carl Jackson Motion Pictures Studios; was "Southern Girls". In 2018, Carl signed a television and film deal with FOX's Tubi. And in 2022 Carl Jackson Studios signed a 10-picture film deal with Buffalo 8 a Bondit Media Capital company as reported in Deadline Hollywood (owned by the Penske Media Corporation, owner of Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, RollingStone, Billboard).

Carl Jackson Entertainment is in various stages of production including "The Exceptional Santa Claus," "P31" and "LAX to Paris" the sequel to the hit film "LAX" starring Andrea McClew.

On May 30, 2013 "Strong Black Woman" movie trailer became the number 10 most watch trailer on Apple Trailers, beating out Fast & Furious 6 and the Man of Steel, Superman Trailers, and Will Smith-After Earth Movie Trailers. On September 25th, 2014 "The Journey Of L.A. Mass" was the number 1 most-watched movie trailer on Apple Movie Trailers. "The Journey Of L.A. Mass" was the first documentary directed by Carl Jackson. The "LAX" and "P31" movie trailer (coming to theaters July 14th, 2023) also debuted at number 1 and has remained in the top 20 family movie trailers during the pandemic. In 2022 Carl's latest film "Immortal Soul" movie trailer also debuted at number 1.

Television Distribution

In television, Carl has produced The Carl Jackson Podcast and the limited series "Forgiven" for Tubi starring film icon Tuesday Knight from "The Nightmare On Elm Street" film series.

Television Networks

On Friday, July 19th, 2013, Carl Jackson launched CJC a 24-hour family-themed television network. CJC features movies, original series, concert specials, and more. CJC Radio is also available at CJCtv.net. In 2019 Carl launched an urban network called TheGrid.

Both networks are available as an OTA (over-the-air) and OTT (over-the-top). The OTT and connected TV television services that carry both networks are, PLEX, theGrio, Local Now, DistroTV, Freecast/SelectTV, Atari, TikiLIVE, SimulTV, and many other partnerships.
