Carl Jackson is an American producer and director known for his work in film and television.
In 2002, he founded Carl Jackson Entertainment LLC, which has since produced several acclaimed films. Notable works include the DOVE Foundation-approved "Southern Girls" with original music by Phil Keaggy, "Blissful Lies" featuring Emmy Award-winning Leann Hunley, "Carl Jackson's The Jesus Freak" (2017), "Carl Jackson's LAX" (2021), "LAX 2 Paris" (2024) and Love Solutions (2024).
In 2009, Jackson signed a multi-year production and distribution deal with Bridgestone Multimedia Group. However, due to creative differences, no projects were completed, leading Jackson to establish his own distribution arm. "Southern Girls" was the first film released under Carl Jackson Motion Pictures Studios in 2012. In 2018, he secured a six-year Digital Distribution Licensing Deal with FOX | Tubi, and in 2022, Carl Jackson Studios entered a multi-year, 10-picture deal with Buffalo 8/Bondit Media Capital, as reported by Deadline Hollywood. In 2023, the studio signed a global first-look agreement with NBC's Peacock.
Carl Jackson Studios is currently developing or producing several films, including "Virtual Time" (2025), "Carl Jackson's Gate 17" (2025), "Carl Jackson's LAX: Holiday in New York" (2026), "The Alpha Male Chronicles" (2026), "Carl Jackson's The Well" (2026), and "Jones," a biopic about BET legend Dr. Bobby Jones. Other projects include "The Exceptional Santa Claus" and "P31."
Early in his career, Jackson directed music videos for renowned gospel artists such as Angie Winans, Deitrick Haddon, The Rance Allen Group, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. His work has been featured in the American WOW gospel music compilation DVD series in 2003, 2005, and 2009.
Several of Jackson's movie trailers have achieved significant success. On May 30, 2013, the "Strong Black Woman" trailer became the tenth most-watched on Apple Trailers, surpassing trailers for "Fast & Furious 6," "Man of Steel," and "After Earth." On September 25, 2014, "The Journey Of L.A. Mass" trailer was the most-watched on Apple Movie Trailers. The "P31" teaser trailer also reached the top spot and remained in the top 20 family movie trailers during the pandemic. Trailers for "LAX 2 Paris" and "Love Solutions" debuted at number two on Apple TV + iTunes.

In television, Carl has produced The Carl Jackson Podcast and the limited series "Forgiven" for Tubi starring film icon Tuesday Knight from "The Nightmare On Elm Street" film series.
Season 2 begins in 2024.

On Friday, July 19th, 2013, Carl Jackson launched CJC a 24-hour family-themed television network. CJC features movies, original series, concert specials, and more. In 2019 Carl launched an urban network called TheGrid. Both networks are available as an OTA (over-the-air) and OTT (over-the-top).
